SOUTH CHINA — Bridget Humphrey scored a career-high 29 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, to lead Erskine to a 64-52 win against Brunswick in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A girls basketball action Tuesday night.

Humphrey added 14 rebounds, four assists and three steals while teammate Hannah Bridges also turned in a strong game with 18 points and Taylor Boucher grabbed 11 rebounds. For the Dragons, Julia Champagne scored 15 points, Lyse Henshaw 12 and Lauren Carleton 11. Brunswick is 2-15, Erskine is 1-16.

Maranacook 61, Leavitt 53, OT: Sarah Clough scored 13 of her 15 points in the fourth quarter and overtime as the Black Bears scored some big Heal points by edging the Hornets in Readfield.

Clough and Catherine Sanborn each had three steals in the fourth quarter. Clough added two 3-pointers in the overtime period. Christine Miller (13 points), Mariah Vining (12) and Sanborn (11) also scored in double figures for the Bears. Maranacook is 11-6.

Jenna Cote had 20 points for Leavitt (13-4).

Cony 70, Hampden 36: Hayley Quirion had 16 points, seven assists and seven rebounds to lead the visiting Rams to the KVAC A win.

Josie Lee added 17 points and eights rebounds for Cony (10-7) while Alyssah Dennett also scored 17 and Emily Quirion chipped in with 12. Hampden (2-15) was led by Erin Murphy with nine points.

Gardiner 62, Mt. View 19: Kylie Granholm led a balanced attack with 11 points as the host Tigers won the KVAC B game.

Taylor Banister and Ally Day each scored eight points for Gardiner (13-4) while Liz Kelley added seven. Twelve different Tigers scored. Mt. View (3-14) was led by Janelle Thornley with eight points.

Mt. Blue 51, Messalonskee 42: Miranda Nicely scored 19 points as the Cougars earned the KVAC A win in Farmington.

Abbie Brinkman scored nine points for Mt. Blue (11-6). Kelsey Mayo had 12 points and 13 rebounds for Messalonskee (6-11), while Kassi Michaud scored 11 points and had five steals for the Eagles.

Monmouth 51, Lisbon 41: The host Mustangs shot 7 of 8 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to hold on for the Mountain Valley Conference win.

Kylie Kemp scored 16 points to go along with nine rebounds for Monmouth (13-4) while Sierra Spencer added 15 points.

Lisbon (5-12) was led by Denise thomas with 11 points.

Boys basketball

Maranacook 59, Leavitt 53: Kyle Boucher scored 23 points to lead the Black Bears to the KVAC Class B win in Turner. Taylor Wilbur added 13 points for the winners while teammate Cameron Brochu scored 12. For Leavitt, Andrew Middelton scored 16 points and Mitchell Davis 14. Maranacook is 7-10.

Old Orchard 69, Richmond 20: Anthony Langella-Law scored 15 points and Joey Gildard added 13 to lead the Seagulls to the non-conference win in Richmond (7-11).

Hampden 71, Cony 40: Eleven players scored for the Broncos as they routed the Rams in a KVAC A game in Augusta.

Tyler Norris, with 15 points, and Zachary Gilpin (12) were the top scorers for Hampden. The Broncos are 17-0.

Mitch Bonenfant led Cony with 11 points. Kyle Elvin grabbed eight rebounds.

Messalonskee 55, Mt. Blue 25: The Eagles led 36-12 at halftime and coasted to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Jordon Holmes hit four 3-pointers and scored 20 points for Messalonskee (10-7). Nick Mayo added 11 points. The Eagles won although they made only one free throw in the game.

Brad Durrell led Mt. Blue (1-16) with eight points.

Mt. View 50, Gardiner 45: Steven Davis scored 20 points to lead the Mustangs to the KVAC B win in Thorndike.

Nathan Wrenn added 11 points for Mt. View. Jensen Orewiler scored nine points for Gardiner.
