DOVER FOXCROFT — Monmouth Academy’s Stewart Buzzell beat Jesse Hutchinson of Dirigo 9-5 to win the 145-pound championshpi match at the Class C wrestling championships Saturday at Foxcroft Academy.

Buzzell earned a pin over Gerald Ruane in the first round and scored an 8-1 win over Andrew Levensalor of Dexter in the second round.

Foxcroft Academy scored 199 points to win the team title. Dirigo was second with 158.5, Dexter third with 123 and Lisbon fourth with 58. Mt. View finished ninth with 41 points and Monmouth 10th with 37.
Winslow High School’s Aaron Lint beat Madison Area Memorial High School’s Ryan Malcolm 5-2 in the finals of the 285-pound class.

Lint scored two pins leading into the finals, beating Dalton Surles of Calais and Devan Fuller of Mt. View. Malcolm pinned Benny Woodward of Howland in 13 seconds in the first round and Cliff Boynton of Dirigo in 4:57 in the second round. Winslow finished fifth 47 points, while Madison was fifth with 45.

Madison’s Daniel Moresgard was fourth at 145 pounds and Matt McLaughlin was fourth at 170. Winslow’s Nat Beckwith finished fourth at 195.

Messalonskee 6, Houlton/Hodgdon 1: Chase Cunningham scored three goals to lead the Eagles to a win at Miller Arena in Houlton.

Jake Dexter, Corey Foye and J.T. Towle added goals for the Eagles while Towle contributed three assists and Jared Cunningham two. Brandon Ward scored for Houlton/Hodgdon.

Ben Weeks made 20 saves in goal for Messalonskee (15-2-0) while Payton Porter had 41 for Houlton/Hodgdon (4-11-1).

Cony 5, Waterville 2: Tyler
Leet scored two goals to lead the Rams to a win over the Panthers.
Connor Perry, Dallas Clark and Austin Davis added goals for Cony (10-3-3).  Tom Small made 23 saves for the Rams.

Tom Sturtevant and Chris Lee each had goals for Waterville (4-13-0).

Boys basketball

Kents Hill splits: The Kents Hill boys basketball defeated Dexter School, 73-69, on Saturday then lost a game to Hyde School of Conencticut, 71-54, in New Engalnd Prep School Athletic Conference noys basketball action. Eli Roberts scored 35 points for the Huskies in the win against Dexter while Trevor Guity added 12. Against Hyde, Roberts scored 28 points and teammate Jake Ades scored 11. Kents Hill is 9-8.
