WATERVILLE — Hardy Girls Healthy Women is accepting nominations for its fifth annual Girls Rock Awards.Each year, five girls are honored for making Maine a better place for all girls. Girls ages 12-19 who live in Maine are eligible to be nominated. We give awards in five categories:

* Title IX Champion — for advocating for equal access in school athletics.

* Health Advocacy — for activism to make Maine a healthier place for girls.

* Against the Odds — for efforts to redefine “able” for Maine Girls.

* Community Organizing — for an activist for her work mobilizing her peers.

* Entrepreneurship — for a girl who has turned her passion into a business.

Winners of these awards will receive statewide recognition of their achievements during Girls Rock Weekend — April 5-7.Visit hghw.org for more.
