FARMINGTON — April Guagenti, MSW, LMSW, the executive director of Evergreen Behavioral Services, recently completed graduate certification in gerontology from the University of Massachusetts Boston’s John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies.

Gerontology is the study of social, psychological, and policy aspects of aging in populations and individuals. To achieve certification, Guagenti completed courses in advocacy, the psychology of aging, health and physical changes with aging, and elder health care issues.

Guagenti resides in Wilton and has been employed by EBS for 18 years.
