As I watched Barack Obama come to be a presidential candidate in 2008, I couldn’t imagine from where he came so quickly to acquire such prominence.

In July, fed up with the near-misses, honking horns and fender-benders at Oakland’s intersection, I made several calls to the Maine Department of Transportation.

I think the ailing population of these United States has failed or forgotten. The United States of America is very much at war with terrorism.

Before he was elected, Gov. Paul LePage promised “transparency in government,” but I believe he has done a 180-degree turn.

Even a small child knows when he does something wrong. We adults know right from wrong; when we are being kind or being revengeful; being hurtful or being loving.

The Children’s Defense Fund wants us to believe that we need to get rid of guns to protect our children.
