A 40-year-old man was charged with possession of a usable amount of marijuana and sale and use of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop for an expired registration on Interstate 295. Police searched the vehicle and reportedly found rolling papers and marijuana.

An 18-year-old Pittston man was charged with marijuana possession and speeding during a traffic stop on Route 3.

A 26-year-old man was charged with possession of a usable amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Interstate 295. The man charged was a passenger in the vehicle.

A 25-year-old Palermo woman was charged with operating after suspension during a traffic stop on Augusta Road.

Arrests

AUGUSTA

March 5

Jacob Choate, 23, of Augusta, was arrested on a warrant and charged with unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

MONDAY

At 5:53 p.m., two Augusta residents were arrested by police responding to a traffic complaint on Townsend Road. Darren Frank Carlton Jr., 20, was arrested on a warrant and charged with operating a vehicle without a license. Victoria L. Truman, 31, was arrested on a warrant.

FARMINGDALE

SATURDAY

Casey Walsh-Story, 23, was charged with operating under the influence during a traffic stop on U.S. Route 201.

GARDINER

March 5

Kendra Vigue, 31, of Gardiner, was arrested on a warrant and charged with operating after suspension by police called to check on a suspicious vehicle parked along the southbound lanes of Interstate 295.

PITTSTON

SATURDAY

Shawn Burgess, 37, of Leeds, was arrested on a warrant charging him with operating after suspension during a traffic stop for a seat-belt violation on Route 27. Burgess also was served a U.S. marshal’s warrant charging him with being a fugitive from justice for a crime he allegedly committed in Tennessee.

WEST GARDINER

March 3

Geraldine Morrell, 42, was arrested on a charge of OUI during a traffic stop for erratic operation on Interstate 295. Morrell’s 8-year-old daughter was in the car’s back seat. Morrel was taken to the Kennebec County jail. A family friend provided a ride for the girl.

WHITEFIELD

March 5

Regina C. Stewart, 26, of Whitefield, was arrested on a warrant charging theft on Townhouse Road.
