WINTHROP — Aaron St. Pierre, a senior student at Winthrop High School, has been selected to receive the 2013 Principal’s Award.

The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.

Throughout high school, St. Pierre has maintained an excellent scholastic record while also participating in many co-curricular activities.

He has played soccer and tennis and participated in Nordic skiing. He has been a member of the Latin Club and Drama Club.

Outside of school, St. Pierre worked with a group of volunteers and members of the Nordic Ski Team to build a shed/concession stand to be used by various school teams.

St. Pierre is the son of Julien and Mona St. Pierre of Winthrop. He plans to attend the University of Maine at Orono this fall.

He will attend an honors luncheon at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor on Saturday, April 6.
