CORINNA — A fire in a machinery shed and garage resulted in a total loss of the structure Thursday afternoon at 190 Corinna Center Road.

The building belonged to Ronald and Beth Simpson, of Simpson Farm, Fire Chief Leslie Bolstridge said.

Their house was not damaged, he said.

OAKLAND — Police arrested a juvenile after responding to a reported disciplinary problem at Messalonskee Middle School Thursday morning.

Capt. Rick Stubbert, Officer Gary Bowman and Sergeant Dusty Woodside were at the school for about 15 minutes, Stubbert said.

Police did not disclose the suspect’s age, gender or the charge being brought against the person.
