AUGUSTA — The third of a trio of city men charged in connection with a series of home burglaries last year pleaded guilty recently in Kennebec County Superior Court.

Christopher T. Laplante, 23, of Sidney, was sentenced to four years in jail, with all but six months suspended, and two years of probation and was ordered to pay $6,705 restitution.

He pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary, seven counts of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, one count of negotiating a worthless instrument and one count of forgery, which occurred between July 15 and Oct. 15, 2012.

Two other men, Robert Anthony Hernandez, 20, of Augusta, and Michael R. Marro, 21, pleaded guilty to charges resulting from the same burglary spree, which took place in Augusta, Belgrade and Manchester, and received similar sentences last month.

A number of people were sentenced Monday and Tuesday in separate cases heard in Kennebec County Superior Court and in Augusta District Court.

* Robert E. Arris Jr., of Chelsea, burglary Dec. 17, 2012, in Readfield; three-year jail sentence, all but six months suspended, three years’ probation.

* Tricia L. Barry, 39, of Augusta, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and aggravated forgery Feb. 1 in Augusta; three-year jail sentence, all but 90 days suspended, two years’ probation

* Zachary James Curtis, 23, of Clinton, terrorizing Dec. 17, 2012, in Clinton; three-year jail sentence, all but six months suspended, two years’ probation; $45 restitution.

* Iris Laverdiere, 24, of Augusta, two counts of aggravated forgery, criminal trespass, failure to give correct name, and theft, all Jan. 15 in Augusta; three-year jail sentence, all but six months suspended, two years’ probation.

* Raymond A. McCray, 35, of Rome, false public report Dec. 11, 2011, in Rome; 364-day sentence consecutive to a nine-month probation revocation.

* Darbi A. Poirier, 35, of Gardiner, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer June 27, 2012, in Gardiner; $500 fine, $1,399.98 restitution.

* Edward B. Robinson, 31, of Gardiner, operating after revocation Nov. 11 in Gardiner; 90-day jail sentence, $1,000 fine.

* Michael Snow, 35, of Vassalboro, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs Sept. 5, 2012, in August; 364-day jail sentence, all but 10 days suspended (to be served in the alternative sentencing program), one -year probation, $400 fine.

* Lydia M. Wescott, 30, of Farmingdale, unlawful possession of hydrocodone Dec. 27, 2012, in Augusta; 180-day jail sentence, all suspended, one-year administrative release, $400 fine.
