WINSLOW — St. John Regional Catholic School recently announced that four of Maine’s state grade level winners in the Zaner-Bloser Handwriting Contest are St. John students. They are Jairus Hurdle, second grade; Alaina Karen Lambert, third grade; Julia Bard, fourth grade; and Emilee Theriault, fifth grade.

More than 285,000 students participated in the contest and as winners of State Grade Levels, the four students will now compete in the National Grade Level Championships.

National winners will be notified later this month.
