WATERVILLE — Two-time All-American Kate Pistel scored two goals, including the 100th of her career, as Colby College defeated Colorado College 16-6 in women’s lacrosse action Thursday afternoon at Bill Alfond Field.

Pistel is the 13th player in Colby history to reach 100 career goals. Teammate Lindsey McKenna reached the century mark earlier this season.

McKenna added four goals for Colby (10-2). Katharine Eddy chipped in three goals and two assists, and Tess Petesch had two goals and two assists.

Colorado College is 5-9. Colby hosts No. 3 Middlebury at 11 a.m., Saturday.

College Baseball

Thomas 4-4, Husson 2-6: Waterville graduate Tim Locke went six innings for the win in Game 1 as the Purple Panthers split a North Atlantic Conference doubleheader with Husson in Waterville.

Skowhegan graduate Cody Vigue had two hits in Game 1 for Thomas (12-15 overall, 11-3 NAC). John Charves drove in two runs and Thomas Cameron pitched the seventh for the save. Waterville graduate J.T. Whitten drove in both runs for Husson (14-16, 9-5).

Husson took Game 2 in eight innings despite committing six errors. Pat Thibodeau had three hits for the Eagles, while Whitten and fellow Waterville grad Kyle Bishop each had two. Vigue went 3 for 3 and drove in two runs, and Nik Beeson added a pair of hits. Husson scored the winning runs in the eigth on a two-out, two-run homer by Shawn Smith.

College softball

Bowdoin 10-13, Thomas 1-4: Nicole Nelso drove in six runs in Game 2 to lead the Polar Bears to the doubleheader sweep in Waterville.

Janelle Ciomei tripled home a run for Thomas in the first game while Samantha Moore had two hits for the Terriers in the second. Bowdoin is 23-9, Thomas is 8-23.

High school boys lacrosse

Gardiner 18, Morse 10: Keegan Smith scored five goals and Josh Caldwell added four to lead the Tigers to the Class B win in Gardiner. Seth Wing and Austin Moore scored three goals each for the Tigers while Dalton Sargent adde two and Alex Nadeau one. Alexander Paulus led the Shipbuilders with five goals.

JD Crocker stopped six shots in goal for Gardiner (3-0) while Kevin Thibeau made 14 saves for Morse (1-1).

Oak Hill 14, Mt. Blue 1: Kyle Flaherty scored five goals to lead the Raiders to the win in Farmington in the Class B seaosn opener for both teams.

John Averill added two goals and three asissts while Cody Rolston had two goals and two aissts. Alex Mace, Caleb Provost, Brian Daniels, Mike Sunaders and Matt Gilbert each scored a goal for the Raiders while Ryan Rouillard scored for Mt. Blue.

Matty Martin made seven saves in goal for Oak Hill while Dakota Williams had 16 for the Cougars.

Monmouth 10, Lisbon 0: Kyle Fletcher pitched a four-hitter to lead the Mustangs to the Mountain Valley conference win in the season opener for both teams.

Fletcher struck out eight and  didn’t walk a batter in the game that was called after six innings due to the mercy rule.

Fletcher and Phil Rowe each singled gome a pair of runs for the Mustangs.
