I just don’t get it. What is there about the word “assault” that some people do not understand?
An assault rifle is designed to kill as many people as possible in as short a time as possible, as the world has tragically found out.
Yet some cretins are rushing to stores to buy them. Who do they plan to assault? Me?
On another subject, I was hoping that the new Legislature would have more smarts than the previous one, but my hopes have been dashed.
Legislators have voted down a bill that would have banned hand-held cellphones, only to introduce a bill that would make it legal to go through a red light under certain conditions. Go figure.
Also I understand that over 3,500 bills have been put in the hopper by the current Legislature. Do they plan to be there for the next 50 years?
If I were king, each legislator would be allowed to enter only two bills, and for every one they passed, they’d have to remove one from the books. I can dream, can’t I?
