Workers with Paul Mushero & Sons set blocks for posts while lifting the Vassalboro Historical Society’s blacksmith building on Tuesday. Dave Bolduc of the organization said the 1920s building was sinking into the ground and needed to be saved by the jacking of the building and a smaller one nearby. From left are Todd Mushero, Paul Mushero and Phil Pouliot. When finished, the buildings will be open to the public for special events.
