Here is a pipeline coming through Maine and guess who’s trying to get it done with unskilled labor. If you think the Democrats have broken the union, let’s look at Paul LePage.
He said no to union workers on the pipeline, but the company running this operation said it wanted union workers because they are skilled, educated.
There is an old saying: You get what you pay for. If LePage doesn’t care about quality, then let non-union workers do the work. In this case, however, I love the environment so please give me skilled, educated workers.
My ancestors built this system; the Republicans have destroyed it. Benefits for workers, heck no, they are replaceable.
If LePage is having problems balancing the budget, maybe he should put people to work and make the well-off people that he gave a tax break to pay their fair share like the rest of us. He should stop making excuses to raise taxes on the middle class.
People don’t even know what the Republican Party has really done.
