UNITY — Unity College announces its focus on sustainability science, the leading-edge of 21st century transdisciplinary (collaborative) environmental problem solving has announced the following Earth Week activities, according to a press release.

FAIRFIELD — Kennebec Valley Community College and Farm Energy Partners will offer a free, public workshop on renewable energy to celebrate Earth Week.

FAIRFIELD — Mother’s Day Craft and Vendor Fair is set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Fairfield Community Center, 62 Water St.

SKOWHEGAN — North Elementary School recently announced kindergarten registration is set for 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, May 13, and Tuesday, May 14, and if needed, 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 15.

SKOWHEGAN — Skowhegan Montessori School is accepting applications for the fall. Registration is set for 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at 56 Meadowview Road.

AUGUSTA — Bonnie Dwyer, a certified quilt appraiser and a fourth-generation quilter, will present the Kennebec Historical Society meeting at 6:30 p.m. today at Augusta City Center, 16 Cony St.
