NORTH ANSON —  Brandon Lehay homered, doubled and drove in four runs to lead the Carrabec baseball team to a 12-6 Mountain Valley Conference win over Telstar.

Lehay hit a two-run home run in the second after the Cobras (2-3) plated six runs in the first.
Will Crawford and Levi Murray also had two hits. Murray recorded the win, striking out eight and walking one.

Telstar dropped to 0-5.

Dirigo 12, Madison 4: TJ Frost homered and singled twice to lead the Cougars to the MVC win in Dixfield. Anthony Todd and Jack Brown also homered for the Cougars (4-1) while Brett Whittemore singled and tripled. Garrett Emery doubled for Madison (2-4).

Softball

Telstar 14, Carrabec 2, 6 innings: Rachel Wheeler and Ellie Conrad each had two singles and as many RBIs to lead the Rebels in an MVC game in North Anson.

Becca Howard and Autumn Berry also drove in a pair of runs for Telstar (5-0), which scored six runs in the top of the third to snap a 1-1 game.

Skyla Murray had a triple and Chelsea Pray singled to lead the Cobras (2-3).

Madison 2, Dirigo 1: Erika Parker had a single and an RBI and Emily KcKenney pitched a complete game to lead the Bulldogs to the MVC win in Dixfield.

Kristen Wood also had a single for Madison (6-0), which had just three hits. McKenney walked seven and struck out four to earn the win.

Cami Denney had two hits to lead Dirigo (5-1).

Messalonskee 7, Cony 5: Aidan Calkins scored two goals to lead a balanced attack as Messalonskee edged Cony in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Tuesday night in Augusta.

Josh Towle scored a goal and two assists for the Eagles.

Ben Weeks, Jordan Holmes, Eric Van Der Karr and Connor Leonard also scored for Messalonskee.
Brandon Surette led Cony with two goals. Kevin Kingsbury had a goal and an assist.

College baseball

Maine 11, UM-Farmington 1: Eric White had four hits and three RBIs as the Black Bears beat the Beavers in a non-conference game in Orono.

Fran Whitten added three hits and scored three runs for Maine (27-17).

Matthew Woodbury had two his, including a triple, for UMF (9-23). Ben Keene and Zach Keene each added two hits for the Beavers.
