MADISON — Emily McKenney had two singles and an RBI and earned the pitching win to lead Madison past Lisbon 4-1 in Mountain Valley Conference softball action Friday.

McKenney allowed one run on six hits while striking out 11 and walking two for Madison (7-0).
Kailyn Hill had a double and a single for Lisbon (1-6).

MCI 14, Maranacook 1, 5 innings: Paige Topel had two bases-loaded triples and a single to go along with six RBIs to lead the Huskies to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B win in Pittsfield.
Victoria Drake, Carolyn Newhouse and Kat Smedberg each had two singles for MCI (4-3). Courtney Fowler pitched a two-hitter with seven strikeouts for the Huskies.

Elise Linton doubled and Sydney Cameron singled for Maranacook (2-5).

Wiscasset 15, Carrabec 11: Paige Chadbourne had two hits and three RBIs, but it wasn’t enough for the Cobras, who dropped an MVC contest to the Wolverines in Wiscasset.

Brooke Lewis had two hits, including a double, as well as two RBIs, while Bailey Atwood hit a triple for Carrabec (2-4).
Briana Goud had four hits for the Wolverines (1-6).

Belfast 11, Mt. View 7: The Lions scored six runs in the fourth inning en route to the KVAC Class B win in Thorndike. Casey Thayer had four hits for Belfast (4-3) while Mariah Sturgis and Ashley Littefield had three each and Killian Richards, Alexis Porter and Brianna Cummings had two apiece. Krista Porter, Elise Crooker and Abby Charrier had three hits apiece for Mt. View (0-6) while Dina Bilodeau and Caitlyn Poulin each had two.

Edward Little 19, Erskine 6: Danielle Rock had two doubles and a single to lead the Red Eddies to the KVAC A win in South China. Kory Norcross added a double and a single for Edward Little (3-3).
Avery Bond led the Eagles (3-4) with a double and a single while Taylor Boucher and Alyssa Gartley each had two singles.

Gardiner 10, Waterville 2: Freshman Katie Canning struck out eight and walked two in her varsity debut as the Tigers downed the Purple Panthers in KVAC Class B action. Bri Brochu led Gardiner hitters with two triples and two RBIs while Katelyn Boyington singled twice and drove in two runs and Morgan Carver.

 Morgan Pellerin and Michaela DeVogt each singled and douled for Waterville (1-6). Gardiner is 7-0.

Baseball

Erskine 3, Edward Little 2: Josh Bailey singled home Zack Isbell in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Eagles the KVAC Class A win in South China.

Isbell drew a walk with two outs and stole second to set up Bailey’s game-winner. Bailey had two hits for Erskine (2-5) while Lew Jensen singled twice for Edward Little (1-5). Shawn Soucie picked up the pitching win in relief of Nick Gayer.

Messalonskee 7, Brewer 2: Trevor Gettig had three singles and Zach Mathieu added a two-run single to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Devin Warren chipped in with an RBI double for Messalonskee (5-2). Ben Frazee earned the win to run his record to 2-1.
Matt Pushard had a sacrifice fly for Brewer (3-4).

Hampden 3, Lawrence 0: Matt Palmer struck out 12 and held the Bulldogs to three hits to lead the Broncos to the KVAC Class A win in Hampden. Matt Barton led Hampden hitters with a pair of singles. Hampden is 6-1, Lawrence is 0-7.

Carrabec 12, Wiscasset 6: Brandon Lehay pitched a four-hitter and fanned seven to lead the Cobras to the MVC win. Levi Murray led Carrabec (3-3) at the plate with a double, single and RBI while Boog Dunphy added two singles. Dylan McMahon singled and homered for Wiscasset (2-5).

Maranacook 11, MCI 5: The Black Bears scored eight runs in the top of the first inning on their way to the KVAC B win in Pittsfield.

Maranacook’s Cam Brochu doubled, tripled, and drove in three runs, while Carson Dalheim had a double and 2 RBIs. Jake Murphy added a two-run double for the Bears (3-4).

MCI (1-6) actually out-hit the Bears, 11-10. Parker Morrison, Greg Vigue, Cam Michaud, and Dylan Watrous each had two singles for the Huskies.

Bangor 18, Mt. Blue 2, 6 innings: The Rams scred 15 runs in the final three rinnings to pull away for the KVAC A victory in Farmington.

Bangor (6-2) out-hit the Cougars, 14-4, and Mt. Blue also committed eight errors.
Dustin Richards doubled and had a two-run single for Mt. Blue (1-6).

Belfast 6, Mt. View 2: The Lions collected 10 hits en route to theKVAC Class B win in Thorndike. Greg and Lucas Clark and Matt Smith had two hits apiece for Belfast (4-3) while Damion Bernier went the distance for the win, striking out 12. Kyle Turner drove ia run for Mt. View (1-6) while teammate Nathan Wren tripled and scored.

College baseball

Bates 5, Colby 4, 10 innings: Soren Hanson struck out 11 and Nathan Ellis had three hits and drove in a pair of runs but the Mules fell in New England Small College Athletic Conference action.

Colby (11-21) will finish the season at 1 p.m. today with a doubleheader against Amherst. Luke Duncklee, a Cony graduate, singled for the Mules.
