CASTLETON, VT. — Messalonskee High School graduate Dylan Foster went 2 for 4 and scored pair of runs as the Husson University baseball team beat Castleton State 4-2 to win the North Atlantic Conference championships on Monday.

Waterville Senior High School graduate Josh Gaudette added a sacrifice fly for Husson, which improves to 26-17. Gaudette and Foster were both named to the North Atlantic Conference all-tournament team.

Brandon Reilly earned the save for Husson and was named the tournament MVP.

Track and field

America East Championships: Maranacook Community School graduate Max HoddWells finished second in the triple jump for the University of New Hampshire on Sunday.

HoddWells jumped 48 feet, 1.25 inches to finish less than a foot behind first-place finisher Stephen Crosue of Albany (49-0.25).

HoddWells also finished fourth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.24 seconds and fifth in the long jump (22-7).
