MADISON — Madison stayed unbeaten with a 3-2, come-from-behind victory over Monmouth in Mountain Valley Conference softball action Friday afternoon.

Madison (11-0) trailed 2-1 after four innings. The Bulldogs got a run in the fifth and another in the sixth, and Emily McKenney (three-hitter, 12 strikeouts) made it stand up.

In the sixth, Erika Parker singled, and pinch runner Kayla Bess stole secon, then went to third on a sacrifice bunt by Aly LeBlanc. With one out, Cristie Vicneire singled Bess home for the 3-2 lead.
Savanna Kandiko had two hits for Madison, while Sierra LeBlanc also drove in a run.

Becki Bryant struck out four for Monmouth (3-5). Kylie Kemp, Sabrina Beck, and Shannon Buzzell had the hits for the Mustangs.

MCI 12. Mt. View 0:
Courtney Fowler threw a no-hitter, striking out 11 and allowing just one baserunner to lead the Huskies in Pittsfield.

Courtney Ouellette had a double and a pair of singles to lead MCI (6-4) while Katelyn Sousa had three singles.

Mt. View’s only baserunner was on an error. The Mustangs dropped to 0-10.

Nokomis 13, Belfast 3: The Warriors totaled 17 hits in taking the KVAC B win in Belfast.
Sierra Fortin and Taylor Lovley each had three hits for Nokomis (7-3). Danielle George, Natasha Howard, and Becky Orcutt added two hits apiece.

Katrina Lapham singled three times for Belfast (4-5).

Mt. Blue 6, Erskine 5: Caitlin Kane had three hits and Kiana Thompson two to lead the Cougars to the KVAC Class A win in South China. Alison Gauvin led Erskine (4-6) with three hits while Emma Robertson singled and doubled and Taylor Boucher singled twice. Mt. Blue is 1-9.

Carrabec 20, Lisbon 14: Courtney Lancaster and Skylar Murray each hit two-run doubles in a six-run fifth inning to lead the Cobras in a wild MVC game in Lisbon.

Lancaster finished with three RBIs. Skylar Murray had three hits and as many RBIs for the Cobras (3-6) as well.

Olivia Harrington, Taylor Plourde and Chanal Bisson each had RBI doubles for the Greyhounds (3-7).

Messalonskee 18, Mt. Ararat 6, 5 innings: Kylee Knight had a triple and two singles to lead Messalonskee to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Courtney Veilleux added two singles and stole five bases for Messalonskee (9-1). Other repeat hittesr were Emily York with a double and two singles and Natalie Hunt with a triple and a double.

Taylor Pare had a double and two singles for Mt. Ararat (3-7).

Winslow 9, Lincoln 1: Ali Leclair hit two home runs and drove in four runs to lead the Black Raiders to the win in Winslow.

Hayley Pottle doubled and drove in a run for Winslow (7-3). Brooke Haskell had a pair of hits, and Hillary Libby singled and drove in a run for the Black Raiders, who scored five runs in the first inning.
Danielle Pinkham tripled for Lincoln (6-4).

Hall-Dale 6, Mt. Abram 3:
The Bulldogs took the lead for good with three runs in the top of the fifth inning and held on for the MVC win in Salem Township.

Both batteries were sisters: Olivia and Emily Maynard for Hall-Dale (5-4), and Taylor and Kate Jordan for Mt. Abram. Olivia Maynard pitched a four-hitter, while Emily Maynard and Eva Shepherd each had two hits for the Bulldogs.

Taylor Jordan struck out five and allowed five hits for the Roadrunners (3-6).
