READFIELD — Carson Dalheim hit his first career home run and Kevin Johnson drove in three runs to lead the Maranacook baseball team past Gardiner 9-3 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Wednesday afternoon.

Zach Elwell pitched his third consecutive complete game to earn the victory. Elwell, who improved to 3-1, struck out four and allowed six hits.

Cam Brochu had a pair of doubles for Maranacook (6-5).

Hunter Belanger had a double to lead Gardiner (6-5).

Oak Hill 4, Monmouth 3: Brady Dion and Parker Asselin each hit triples to lead the Raiders to a KVAC B win in Wales.

Dion and Ryan Riordan, who hit a double, each had two hits for Oak Hill (5-5).

Kyle Fletcher smacked a double for Monmouth (7-3).

Messalonskee 10, Mt. Blue 0, 5 innings: Jonathan Wilkie had a two-run double and Zack Mathieu had a two-run single to lead the Eagles in a KVAC A game in Oakland ended in the fifth inning by the mercy rule.

Messalonskee pitcher Patrick Breton was a hit away from a perfect game, allowing one hit while striking out two batters for the five inning shutout. Devin Warren added two singles for the Eagles (9-3).

Mt. Blue falls to 3-9.

Oxford Hills 9, Cony 8: Ryan Godin singled home the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift the Vikings to the KVAC Class A win in South Paris. Ben Bowie, Dalton Rice and Jordan Croteau had two hits apiece for Oxford Hills (11-1) while Chandler Shostak singled three times and Zack Lachance singled and tripled for Cony (8-3).

Cony 8, Oxford Hills 4: The Rams rallied for six runs in the sixth inning to post the KVAC Class A win in South Paris. Sonja Morse and Olivia Deeves each drove in two runs in the rally while Alyssah Dennett and Veronica Woods drove in single runs, Dennett finshed with two singles and a double while Deeves added three singles and Arika Brochu singled and tripled.

Morse fanned 13 and walked four for the pitching win. Jordan Sanborn singled twice for Oxford Hills (10-2) while Abby Bernier hit an inside-the-park home run. Cony is 11-0.

Messalonskee 7, Mt. Blue 5: Kylee Knight and Nikki Collier each had two singles to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Emily York drove in a pair of runs in a three-run third for Messalonskee (11-1).

Kiana Thompson had three singhles and Guppy added a pair to lead the Cougars (1-11).

Maranacook 6, Gardiner 5: Ashley Belanger struck out four and allowed just four hits to help the Black Bears pin Gardiner with its first loss of the season.

belanger walked just two for Maranacook (5-6), which scored three in the second and three more in the fourth.

Crystal Smith struck out four for the Tigers (10-1).

Oak Hill 7, Monmouth 1: Kortni Michaud struck out seven and allowed just one hit to lead the Raiders to the MVC win in Wales.

Kelsey Collins and Brianna Hodgkins each had doubles for the Raiders (8-2).

Becki Bryant struck out five in three innings of relief for Monmouth (4-6).
