AUGUSTA — Unbeaten Cony rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth innign to pull out a 3-2 win against Messalonskee in a battle of top teams in the Class A division of the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference on Friday.

 The visiting Eagles scored twice in the top of the ninth. They loaded the bases on a walk and singles from Nikki and Delaney Collier and scored two runs on an infield error. Molly Russell led the Cony ninth with a double and scored on a single by sister Maggie Russell. Hananh Reis tied the game on a sacrifice fly and freshman Kassidy Turgroon delivered a game-winning single.

  Molly Russell led the Rams (12-0) with a single and double while Nikki collier had two hts for the Eagles (10-2). Winning pitcher Sonja Morse struck out 11, walked six and gave up four hits while Kassi Michaud fanned five and walked three for Messalonskee.

Gardiner 2, Oceanside 1: Bri Brochu drove in a run and scored the game-winner to lead the Tigers to the KVAC Class B win in Rockland. Brochu doubled and scored on a fielder’s choice in the fourth for the game-winner. Brittany Rollins pitched asrong game for the Tigers, strikign out 10 and walking one whle allowing five hits. Oceanside’s Rachel Frye fanned eight, didn’t issue a walk and allowed two hit. Gardiner is 11-1, Oceanside is 12-1.

Oak Hill 3, Telstar 0:
Kortni Michaud pitched a shutout and had a pair of doubles as the Raiders beat the Rebels in a KVAC B game in Wales.

Michaud allowed four hits, struck out six and walked one for Oak Hill (10-2) to improve to 10-0. It was Michaud’s second four-hit shutout in as many days. Kayla Veilleux had two singles and Brooke LeBel added a triple for Oak Hill.

Jesse Dirigo pitched a complete game, striking out 12 and walking one for Telstar (8-3).

Maranacook 11, Mt. View 2: Jessie Smith had a double and triple to lead the Black Bears to a KVAC B win over the Mustangs in Thorndike.

Sydney Cameron and Ashley Belanger each had two singles for Maranacook (6-6).

Emily English had two singles for Mt. View (0-13).

Winthrop 5, Carrabec 2: Randi Dennett had two singles and Kristen Doughty pitched a complete game as the Ramblers beat the Cobras in an MVC game in North Anson.

Doughty allowed one earned run, struck out nine and allowed six hits to earn the win for Winthrop (6-5).

Angelica Brown and Jess Vaillancourt each doubled for Carrabec (3-8).

Mountain Valley 5, Hall-Dale 4: The Bulldogs rallied with four runs in the top of the fourth inning to take a 4-3 lead, but the Falcons answered with two in the bottom of the inning to earn the MVC win in Rumford.

Becca Ackerson and Hailey Taker both had two singles for Hall-Dale (7-5). Eva Shepherd added a double for the Bulldogs.

Katie Gollette had a double and a single for Mountain Valley (7-5).
