LIVERMORE FALLS — Two pedestrians were injured Sunday afternoon when they were struck by a vehicle near Campground Road and Route 17.
Police and rescue workers were called to the scene after serious injuries were reported just after 2 p.m., but little information was available.
Fayette Fire Department responded initially and helped with traffic control until Livermore Falls police and rescuers arrived, said Fayette Fire Chief Marty Maxwell.
Other responders included NorthStar Emergency Medical Services, Winthrop Ambulance, and Maine State Police.
