WATERVILLE— Pulitzer Prize-winning author Gregory White Smith is giving the commencement speech at Colby College’s 192nd graduation ceremony.
About 500 graduates from 33 states and 29 countries are receiving degrees at Sunday’s commencement at the Waterville school.
Smith is a 1973 Colby graduate who has written many books on art, true crime other subjects with his life partner. Their biography, “Jackson Pollock: An American Saga,” won the Pulitzer Price and inspired the Academy Award-winning film “Pollock.”
The school is awarding honorary degrees to Smith and seven other Colby alumni.
