BANGOR — A 15-year-old Maine girl who was missing for than a week before her body was found has been laid to rest.
WLBZ-TV says 300 people turned out Monday for Nichole Cable’s funeral at the Bangor Baptist Church.
The remains of the Old Town High School sophomore from Glenburn were found on May 20 in Old Town more than a week after she was reported missing by her family. Police charged 20-year-old Kyle Dube of Orono in her death.
Details of the police investigation haven’t been released to the public.
A state police affidavit outlining the case against Dube has been sealed at the request of his lawyer. The Associated Press and the Portland Press Herald are challenging the judge’s decision to impound the affidavit.
