FARMINGTON — Rebecca Ryder, president and CEO of Franklin Memorial Hospital, was honored recently for generating grass-roots and community activity in support of her hospital’s mission.
She was given the Grassroots Champion Award by the American Hospital Association in conjunction with the Maine Hospital Association, according to a news release from Franklin Memorial Hospital.
The award recognized hospital leaders who educate elected officials on how major issues affect the hospital’s role in the community; broadened the base of community support for the hospital; and advocated for the hospital and its patients.
