SOUTH CHINA — For the sceond day in a row, Erskine Academy senior John Suga had a walk-off hit. After hitting a grand slam in Monday’s win, Suga singled in the game-winning  run in the bottom of the eighth Tuesday to give the Eagles a 2-1 win against Lawrence in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference season finale for both teams.

Lawrence scored a run in the top of the eighth when Joe Leclair doubled and scored on a single from Cody Martin. The Eagles tied the game in the bottom of the inning on a single from Shawn Soucie. Soucie went the distance for the pitching win, striking out thre and walking two. Lawrence staretr JT Nutting pitched seven innings, striking out eight and walking two.

Erskine finshes at 6-10 while Lawrence closes at 5-11.

Skowhegan 1, Oxford Hills 0: Jon Swett had an RBI double to score Adam Clukey in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift Skowhegan to the KVAC A victory.

Clukey, who entered as a pinch-hitter, had an infield hit and reached second on a sacrifice bunt by Trevor Hisler.

Taylor Bacon earned the victory for the Indians (8-8), striking out six and allowing just two hits. He didn’t issue a walk.

Oxford Hills dropped to 14-2.

Waterville 11, Mt. View 3: Aidan Fitzgerald doubled and drove in three runs and Dan Pooler went 2 for 3 with a double to lead the Purple Panthers to the KVAC B victory in Thorndike.

AJ Godin also went 2 for 3 to lead Waterville.

Kenny McGray went 3 for 3 with two doubles to pace Mt. View.

Mt. Blue 7, Mt. Ararat 1: Jordan Whitney struck out 12 and allowed just one hit to lead the Cougars to the KVAC A victory in Farmington. Whitney also hit a three-run home run in a five-run fifth inning to power Mt. Blue (4-12).

Brad Jackson also homered for the Cougars.

Mt. Ararat dropped to 3-12.

Lewiston 1, Messalonskee 0: Eric Soucy had an RBI single in the first inning and Eddie Emerson made it stand up as the Blue Devils edged the Eagles in a KVAC A game in Oakland.

Emerson pitched a complete game and allowed just four hits. Nick Perrault had two singles for Lewiston (10-6).

Jonathan Wilkie had two hits to lead the Eagles (10-6).

Greenville 16, Forest Hills 8: Derek Ouellette hit two home runs but it wasn’t enough for the Tigers to earn the victory in Greenville.

Henry Hersey had four singles and Howie Stone tripled to lead the Lakers (4-8), who scored seven runs in the top of the fourth.

Evan Worster had a single and a double for Forest Hills (7-7).

Oceanside 1, Winslow 0, 10 innings: Dan Hendricks scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning on an error to lift Oceanside in an Eastern B game. Winslow (13-3) had three errors in the 10th inning.

Zach Roman had a pair of singles to lift Oceanside (10-6).

MCI 7, Medomak 2: MCI catcher Alex Bertrand had a pair of suicide squeeze bunts that brought in runs to lead the Huskies in Pittsfield.

Greg Vigue went 2 for 4 and Ethan Deplisea doubled to lead MCI (2-13) as well.

Medomak dropped to 2-13.

Hall-Dale 9. Mt. Abram 3: The Bulldogs scored five runs in the third inning en route to the MVC win in Farmingdale. Nick Sinclair singled and doubled for the winners while Nat Crocker and Brian allen each singled twice. Jay Chenard had a pair of hits for Mt. Abram (5-10).

Bobby Cumler allowed six hits in picking up the victory.
