FARMINGTON — The Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Committee recently announced the six recipients of the West Central Maine Health Careers Scholarship Program. The scholarships are presented to students residing in the Franklin Memorial Hospital service area who are pursuing careers in the health care field.

Each of the following will be awarded a $600 scholarship from the auxiliary upon successful completion of their first semester: Krysta Brown, of Farmington, plans to attend the University of Maine at Fort Kent; Heather Groder, of Wilton, plans to attend the University of Maine at Augusta; Ayla Haines, of Salem, plans to attend Southern Maine Community College; Gloria Reid, of Strong, plans to attend CMMC School of Nursing and Health Professions; and Kelli Welch, of New Sharon, plans to attend the University of Maine at Fort Kent.
