STRONG — Strong Elementary School’s eighth-grade class will visit the Maine Children’s Cancer Program during its class trip set for June 10-12, according to a press release. Students will donate copies of local author Karen Calloway’s book, “After The Rain.”
Children from the area and throughout Maine with a cancer diagnosis receive care at the program, which strives not only to cure cancer in as many children as possible, but also to support families through their experience of living with childhood cancer.
With a $14 donation, a copy of “After The Rain,” including the donor’s name, family’s name or an organization the donor is a member of, will be donated.
The deadline for book donations is June 3. Please check MCCP on Facebook. Karen Calloway is at www.karencal loway.com. For more information, call Liz Marbel at 491-1834.
