STILL LIFE: The son shines

The only sun to be found on a rainy Sunday was an ornament in a garden at Pauline Tuttle’s home in Clinton, as her son-in-law, Michael Flanders worked. Several other relatives offered to do outside chores for Tuttle as a Mother’s Day gift.

STILL LIFE: Fallen

The second of two spruce trees begins to fall beside the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Waterville on Monday. The church will be taken down this summer to make way for a housing project. The parish building, at left, and the building on the right will be torn down later this week.

Obama blisters over criticism on Benghazi, IRS
