AUGUSTA — A son, Hudson M. Greenleaf, was born April 22 at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta campus, to Heather and Miles Greenleaf of West Gardiner.

EMBDEN — An indoor/outdoor yard sale will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Embden Community Center. Crafters are welcome.

WOOLWICH — The Shelter Institute recently announced its annual Patricia K. Hennin Scholarship application process has begun. The scholarship, which was established to honor company co-founder Patricia K. Hennin, is awarded to a local high school junior or senior interested in the fields of engineering, architecture, or construction. The scholarship recipient receives free enrollment in the Shelter Institute course of their choice, valued at approximately $1,000. This scholarship is designed to jump start a career.

CHINA — Erskine Academy recently announced the class of 2013 top 10 seniors, according to a press release. They are: valedictorian Robert Soohey, son of Terri and Bob Soohey, of Whitefield. Throughout his four years at Erskine, Soohey has received the Rensselaer Medal and has participated in a variety of community service projects. He is a member of National Honor Society and has participated in the cross country team and the wrestling team. Soohey plans to attend the University of Maine to study microbiology.

WATERVILLE — Waterville residents can drop off yard waste from 7 a.m. to noon June 8, at the Public Works facility, 6 Wentworth Court. The facility is also open 7 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays until Friday, June 14.

CLINTON — The Clinton Water District will flush the mains and hydrants May 14-17. Residents may experience a fluctuation in pressure and/or temporary water discoloration.
