The Rev. Alexis Fuller-Wright wrote a letter to the editor published on March 29 in which she said she is a Christian pastor of the United Church of Christ. She stated that she and her denomination believe that marrying same-sex couples is perfectly all right. She and her church are against the federal Defense of Marriage Act, which specifies marriage only as one man and one woman.

Congress’ inaction furloughed air traffic controllers and closed small airports. It was an inconvenience for American citizens and nation. Sorry, they said, live with it.
