BINGHAM — Randy Moody and Bailey Johanson each had two-run singles in the top of the eighth inning to lift the Richmond baseball team past Valley 7-3 in a Western D semifinal game Friday afternoon.

The No 3 Bobcats (7-7) will play either Greenville or Buckfield in the regional final at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s College.

Eddie Stewart had two singles and also earned the victory with three innings of relief. He struck out five and worked out of an eighth-inning jam to preserve the win.

No. 2 Valley (11-3) had two runners on base in the bottom of the eighth before Stewart got a groundout to end the game.

The Cavaliers rallied to force extra innings with two runs in the bottom of the sixth. Dylan Belanger and Seth Malloy drew bases loaded walks to tie the game at 3.

Carrington Miller had two singles for Valley.

No. 2 Greenville, No. 3 Rangeley 2: Kaylee Warman had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs to lead No. 2 Greenville into the Western D championship game.

Molly Foley pitched a complete game, striking out five for the Lakers (13-2).

No. 3 Rangeley finished 7-7.
