AUGUSTA — Two people pleaded guilty to charges Thursday in Kennebec County Superior Court just prior to juries being selected to hear their cases.
• Ryan T. Sargent, 30, of Buxton, operating while license suspended or revoke Aug. 9, 2012, in Waterville; 75-day jail sentence, $1,000 fine.
• Richard Alan Shorty, 48, of Oakland, operating under the influence and failing to notify of a motor vehicle accident Feb. 14 in Oakland; 364-day jail sentence, all but 60 days suspended, one-year administrative release, $700 fine, three-year license and registration suspension.
