KINGFIELD — A Weld man was in stable condition Saturday after a roll-over accident that left him pinned under his truck Friday evening on Route 142.

Dakota Boyd, 19, was rescued by firefighters and bystanders who lifted the vehicle so Boyd could be pulled from under the truck, according to a news release from Lt. David Rackliffe, of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.

The single-vehicle accident was reported around 8:10 p.m.

Boyd was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital by NorthStar Ambulance, before he eventually was transferred to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. Rackliffe said he thinks Boyd is in stable condition.

Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, he said.
