June 5

There was a report of mischief at Orchard Park Apartments on Maine Avenue.

A 37-year-old West Gardiner man was charged with theft for reportedly pawning his landlord’s home stereo system while the landlord was away on vacation.

A caller reported that his vehicle’s window had been smashed out at some point during the previous night. The investigation is ongoing.

Police responded to a report of a threat and suicide threat.

LITCHFIELD

June 3

A 39-year-old man was served with a trespass notice by police responding to a complaint on Litchfield Road of several people on motorcycles driving slowly past the caller’s home and, according to a police report “looking at him menacingly.”

A GMC pickup truck, reportedly stolen, led police on a pursuit. The four-wheel-drive truck fled down a dirt road inaccessible to cars. The pickup was recovered several hours later and returned to the owner. The investigation is ongoing.

Friday

A 19-year-old man was charged with the sale and use of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by a minor. An 18-year-old man was charged with possession of a useable amount of marijuana during a traffic stop on Route 126 and for failure to use headlights while the wipers were in use.

Sunday

A 46-year-old Gardiner woman was charged with operating after suspension on Route 126.

Police responded to Wiscasset Road after a son damaged two doors to his parents’ home.

A car went off the road and rolled over when the driver swerved to avoid an animal in the road. There were no injuries.

Friday

Police responded to a report on the Hallowell-Litchfield Road of a driver’s vehicle being shot by a BB gun. The victim, who had an agreement with the homeowner to fix the damage, declined to cooperate with the investigation.

6:07 p.m., James R. Shorey, 33, of Augusta, was arrested on a charge of violating conditions of release by police responding to a report of a domestic disturbance on Mount Vernon Avenue.

Wednesday

At 10:12 a.m., Jennifer Jean Blomquist, 39, of Augusta, was arrested on charges of criminal mischief and violating conditions of release by police responding to a complaint on Water Street.

CHELSEA

June 5

Ginni Labree, 39, of Gardiner, was arrested on a charge of operating after revocation during a traffic stop for expired registration and inspection stickers on Route 9.

WEST GARDINER

June 4

Van Ames, 36, was arrested on a charge of criminal speed after police reportedly clocked his vehicle at 96 mph in a 65 mph zone on Interstate 295.
