AUGUSTA — Old Fort Western will offer its Summer Apprentice Program in week-long sessions beginning Monday.
Sessions take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon June 17-June21; June 24-28; July 8-July 12; July 29-Aug. 2; Aug. 5-Aug. 9; Aug. 12-16; and Aug. 19-23. An Aug. 26-30 session will be offered to homeschooled students.
Participants will experience what storekeeping, blacksmithing, soldiering and everyday life was like in the 18th century.
The program costs $62.50 per week. To register, stop by the Old Fort Western Administrative Office at City Center or visit www.oldfortwestern.org. Space is limited and registration is required.
