JEFFERSON — The Maine Academy of Country Music will hold its Seventh annual Country Grass Festival, starting at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, through Sunday afternoon, Aug. 18, at Broken Acres.

There is a covered pavilion, a snack bar, and a covered stage, which means rain or shine the show will go as planned.

Local entertainers include The Allen Family Band, Wilf Clark and the Misty Mountaineers, the Family Tradition Band, the Alley Family Band with John Whitman, Marlene Carpenter, Slim Andrews, Bing and Nancy Crobsy and more. On Saturday, Aug. 17, there will also be performances by Jade Jett and Nashville recording artist Tony Booth.

Admission for the three-day event costs $40 or $30 prior to Aug. 1.

There will be a snack bar with hot dogs, hamburgers, bean hole beans, fried chicken and more. Attendees should bring a lawn chair.
