PALERMO — “Dig into Reading” will kick off summer events Tuesday and Wednesday at Palermo Community Library. “Dig into Reading” is a statewide program for young readers up to second grade. Stories and activities will be held twice a week, including Bedtime Story Hour every other week on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Children may come in PJs with a pillow and a stuffy.

“Fairymainia” will invade the Palermo Community Library at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 12. This is not a fluffy fairy event — there will be a mix of traditional characters, some of whom may not be nice.

A casting call is out for musicians, a juggler and a magician. To volunteer or learn more about “Fairymainia” leave a message for Kristen Bishop at 993-6088 or “like” Palermo Community Library on Facebook to leave a message.
