Police investigated a report of a new 25-horsepower Mercury motor stolen off a boat at Clark Marine on Puddledock Road. The theft occurred between June 29 and July 1.

Fred Taylor, 22, of Readfield, was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with unspecified injuries after he was ejected during a single-vehicle crash on Worthing Road. Taylor was driving a Jeep Wrangler south around 10 p.m. when the Jeep went off the road, hit an embankment and rolled over. Taylor, who was not wearing a seat belt according to police, was thrown from the Jeep.
