LIBERTY — The Sheepscot Wellspring Land Alliance recently received a $25,000 matching grant after successfully completing a campaign to raise $25,000 for the land trust’s endowment. The $25,000 match came from a grant provided by the Ram Island Conservation Fund of the Maine Community Foundation.
The Sheepscot Wellspring Land Alliance was one of five Maine land trusts chosen for this opportunity in November 2011.
The campaign was completed without appealing to the general alliance membership with 23 generous contributions, including full support from the alliance’s board of directors.
