WINTHROP — Novelist Tess Gerritsen will give a talk at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey Public, as part of the ongoing Lakes Region Forum.

Gerritsen’s 23 novels range from romantic suspense to New York Times best-selling medical and crime thrillers. Her books have been published in 40 countries and have sold more than 25 million copies, according to a news release from the library.

Gerritsen’s newest book, “Last to Die” arrived at number five on the New York Times bestseller list last year and is her 10th in the famed Rizzoli and Isles crime series starring homicide detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles. The “Rizzoli & Isles” TNT television series starring Angie Harmon as police detective Jane Rizzoli and Sasha Alexander as medical examiner Dr. Maura Isles is now in its fourth season.

Gerritsen started writing while on maternity leave from her job as a doctor in Hawaii in the mid-1980s. Copies of Gerritsen’s books will be available for sale at the event through Apple Valley Books. For more information, call 377-8673 or visit www.baileylibrary.org.
