BELGRADE — Emma Prichard, 24, of Belgrade, has been accepted into the Peace Corps and departed July 10 for Cambodia to begin training as an education volunteer. Prichard will live and work in a community to teach English as a second language to local residents.

Prichard is the daughter of Dan and Marcia Haigh and a graduate of Messalonskee High School, in Oakland. She then attended University of New Hampshire, in Durham, N.H., where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in 2011.
