FARMINGTON — A Farmington man suffered only bumps and bruises when he drove his car into a parked car and pushed it about 30 feet Saturday.

Kenneth Cook, 85, accidentally hit the accelerator while going through the TD Bank drive-through on Wilton Road around 10:10 a.m. and circled the bank before hitting a parked car, according to police secretary Rachel Heseltine.

Heseltine said the parked car was pushed about 30 feet into the parking lot at Bouffard’s Furniture.

The airbag deployed in Cook’s vehicle, and he was treated in the parking lot by NorthStar ambulance for abrasions and bruises. His injuries were minor and he was not taken to the hospital, Heseltine said.

No charges were filed.
