Snowe receives AAUW award
NEW ORLEANS — The American Association of University of Women recently presented the Achievement Award to recently retired U.S. Sen. Olympia Snowe. Seven Maine delegates attended the ceremony at the AAUW Convention in New Orleans, including Betty-Jane Meader, AAUW of Maine president from Waterville, according to news release.
