Curtis Coleman rolls cones into position today as the crew from All Sports Events sets up the transition and finish area for the Capital Y Tri , between the Kennebec Valley YMCA and the State House in Augusta.
The inaugural event starts at 7 a.m. Saturday for adult competitors, followed by a children’s triathlon.
Adults will swim 425 yards in the pool, then bike 11 miles before finishing with a 3.1 mile run.
