Once again, the Maine Association of Retirees is doing all it can to improve the lives of retirees by appealing the judge’s decision on our cost of living adjustment.
I know that the association’s members and the staff have greatly improved and added to my retirement. The association offers many benefits for all retirees receiving payments from Maine Public Employees Retirement System, whether a teacher, municipal worker or government worker.
The greatest enjoyment of being a member is to meet and become friends with so many people. My husband and I feel honored to have become friends with a 95-year-old youngster whom we never would have met otherwise.
I encourage other retirees to join the association and enjoy its benefits.
