GARDINER — The northbound lanes of Interstate 95 are clogged with traffic near mile marker 104, just south of Augusta, because of a tractor-trailer fire.
The fire was reported about noon, according to a dispatcher in the regional communications center in Augusta. Gardiner firefighters are at the scene. Maine State Police are investigating.
One lane of traffic has been opened, but there are still heavy back ups. Authorities continue to suggest alternate routes.
