The three candidates vying for the Senate District 19 seat are scheduled to appear at a forum in Richmond tonight, less than a week before Tuesday’s election.

Former state Sen. Paula Benoit, a Republican, Democrat Eloise Vitelli, and Green Independent Daniel Stromgren are running for the seat vacated earlier this year when Sen. Seth Goodall, D-Richmond, stepped down to take a job with the Small Business Administration.

District 19 includes all of Sagadahoc County and the town of Dresden in Lincoln County.

The forum will be held at the Enterprise Grange 48 at 15 Alexander Reed Road in Richmond. Attendees are invited to gather around 6:30 p.m. and the forum will begin at 7 p.m. There will be time for questions from the audience, according to a release from the Grange, which is sponsoring the forum.
