WINTHROP — Winthrop Public Schools has announced its bus route schedule for the 2013-14 school year.

Route 1

Morning high school and middle school run

Departs bus yard at 6:30 a.m. and proceeds on the following roads: Route 133; Route 41; Maranacook Road (turns around at Cottage Road) at approximately 6:40 a.m.; Route 41 (turns around at Pottle’s); Nottingham Road; Sturtevant Hill Road; Route 133; Old Wayne Road (turns around at Hathaway Road) at approximately 6:55 a.m.; Route 133; Pamela Drive (one stop on corner at Clara Circle); Route 133 (stops at Lakeview Trailer Park and High Street); unloads at high school at 7:15 a.m. and middle school at 7:17 a.m.

Grade school run

Departs bus yard at 6 a.m. and proceeds to Fayette bus stops at approximately 6:25 a.m.; shuttle students at the Tennis Courts at approximately 7:05 a.m.; and unloads at high school at 7:15 a.m., and middle school at 7:17 a.m.

Grade school run (this bus route scheduled to change, due to pick up locations of in-town preschool and kindergarteners)

Departs Rambler Road at approximately 7:30 a.m.; Annabessacook Road (turns around at Mallard Lane); Annabessacook Drive at approximately 7:40 a.m.; Royal Street; Greenwood Avenue; Galeville Street; High Street at approximately 8 a.m.; and unloads at grade school at 8:10 a.m.

Route 6

Afternoon high school and middle school run

Departs middle school at 2:15 p.m. and proceeds to shuttle students at the tennis courts at approximately 2:20 p.m.; Kents Hill Church parking lot at approximately 2:45 p.m.; and arrive at grade school at 3:10 p.m.

Grade school run (this bus route scheduled to change, due to drop off locations of in town preschool and kindergarteners)

Departs grade school at 3:15 p.m.; Annabessacook Road (turns around at Mallard Lane); Annabessacook Drive at approximately 3:25 p.m.; Royal Street; Greenwood Avenue; Galeville Street; and High Street at approximately 3:45 p.m.

* Bus routes are subject to change as needed. Times are approximate and all students must be ready and waiting at their stop 10 minutes before the scheduled time for their bus to arrive.

* All transportation schedules must be established within the first two weeks of the school year. Only long-term changes will be made after Sept. 20.

* In-town high school and middle school students must be at the tennis courts by 7:05 a.m. for the shuttle bus.

* In-town grade school students in first-fifth grade walk to school.

* Students riding a regular afternoon run will be driven in the same route as the morning pick up.

* School bus transportation services are provided by Northeast Charter School Bus Services, Inc.
