TAUNTON — Authorities say a small plane crashed at a municipal airport in southeastern Massachusetts, killing two people.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said federal officials were told by local authorities that the plane crashed at Taunton Municipal Airport at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday. She says authorities are trying to determine the type of the aircraft.

The FAA is investigating.
